Heart of Gold Homecare was born from a personal story of resilience, love, and a determination to create lasting change. It all began with my sister, who was born with a rare genetic condition, Pycnodysostosis.

Working at Heart of gold has been a generally positive experience. The company provides training and onboarding for new staff, which helps in understanding the expectations and responsibilities of the role. There is some structure in place, and support is usually available when needed. Overall, the job is rewarding and I learnt a lot, there is a sense of purpose and fulfillment in supporting clients in their own homes. However, like many care roles, it requires resilience and flexibility.
